Okay, so this was a redraw ofΒ one of the ending scenes of the movie. Β (Only AJ and Pinkie though because adding the others would take a while)Now, I already loved the previous interactions between Twilight and Pinkie in this film, but Pinkie crying at the (supposed) loss of Twilight at the end was some pretty powerful stuff. And Applejack giving her that comfort hug was perfect for the emotion in it. Definitely one of my favorite scenes from this movie~
And then, it turned out that they didn't actually kill off the main character of this series, and then they all lived happily until season 8.
Overall though, this was an interesting piece to work on. The expressions were surprisingly difficult to get right, but the coloring was a lot of fun, and I'm liking how the background worked out for this.

I was shocked too at this scene. I was like "TWILIGHT, NO!" same as Pinkie.
My heart snapped for a second. But of course, you never kill off the heroes. That just be cheating.
But, there were alot of, what if's in there. If Twilight really was dead after being sucked into that tornado, then there would've been no way to free the Princesses from their crystal prisons and restore Canterlot and free everypony. Tempest may be powerful, but she wouldn't have been able to free them.

This is such a powerful moment that you have chosen to portray, Vanilla! But yeah, I can see why it can be deceptively difficult to get the expression right for this kind of atmosphere. After all, the expression is everything here. =/ Hm, still. I wonder if this is what they meant when they say great suffering make great art?Β Β

Haha, nah I think that's totally understandable. We all know Twilight is immortal so long as she keeps selling toys.
Yep the emotion makes that scene. And I haven't heard of that one, but it's probably true in some cases. But you know I'm all about cute ponies over that though :^)

Oh i saw the movie and loved it. But posting leaked info about a movie months before it is released is reprehensible. Posting it after its released is up to interpretation.
But i never commented on the art itself, its really beautifully done. captures the scene really well

The amount of emotion in this one is genuine & I really love how you depicted it with the detail & your style. You really portrayed that scene excellently & super, super well. Really makes you feel emotional & awwwwwwww their expressions & my heart. As always their manes are so well done & detailed to give the extra shine to it. Love the shading for this, with the depth of that & the background too with the bit of blur that has the focus on Pinkie & AJ. Also, Pinkie in heart breaks my heart. You did such a great with the tears too, giving them that strained look as also very fluid in a way. And the colors of course, that really help with the mood with the tones & just wow <333333333333333 I'm super super, super amazed with your portrayal of this. It's phenomenal & shows the wonderful extent of your art. The lighting is very gorgeous & pretty with the realism & just <33333

I really loved this scene. It really tugged at the heartstrings and made me feel emotional. The conflict between the friends near the end, yet they didn't even hesitate when they learned Twilight was in danger showed how much they cared for one another, even through tough times.Β

First, I have to say, if a pony makes Pinkie cry, then something really bad must have happened. Then there was the scene that you have painted that made me cry again. The hug between Pinkie and Twilight later created so many emotions again.
And, btw, your greyish colors are perfect for this scene.
