This might be her expression when she's trying to perform a sonic rainboom!

Wonderful work.
I'm sure Dash would be somehow happy to see her friend win a race. Despite her losing.

My pleasure. But then she would demand a rematch.

Gosh, the framing is too much yet again O3O
And still you get so much detailed colouring in it. I totally empathize with lacking in motivation, but Ican clearly see the excitement you put into this one--it just exudes with speed and energy. I also love the intense emotions, they're just so moving, truly inspirational ^w^ Keep it up, we're almost there! ~<3

Haha, thanks! Coloring is where everything seems to come together for me, so I gotta try to emphasize the details. And yep! When I'm excited and happy to make a drawing everything just seems to work out a lot better.
And yeah, I guess lack of motivation happens to all of us, but we just gotta roll with it sometimes~
Thank you, and keep it up yourself! <3

Would it help if I tell you about some of the things that drive me to draw and improve? I can't say the same things that motivate me will also motivate you, but perhaps it might help you feel not as demotivated.
Generally speaking though, please don't force yourself to do something you don't feel like doing. It's great that you're participating in the NATG; it can be very encouraging for other people to see your work and how far you came. At the same time however, I'm not sure you have all that much to gain from participating in the NATG this time around especially since you have other projects in mind as well.Β

Essentially, I'm driven to draw and improve for 3 reasons:
1. It makes me happyΒ
2. I would like to show progress to my friends/supporters/fans
3. Β FIM is very important to me
Aside from drawing being a fun activity, why does drawing make me happy? In a way, it's a very liberating experience for me. Unlike many other things that I needed to do in life, drawing is something that I chose to do of my volition. It's not like a job or school, and it's not like anyone is ordering me to draw. Think of it like this... I actually have control over my drawing and where I would like to go with it. On the other hoof, other people typically get to dictate my pace and direction at work or school; I have very little say in the matters. Furthermore, unlike watching TV or playing video game, I'd get to express myself however I would like to just by drawing; there's just that much more freedom in comparison. Β Β
I'm also eager to show progress to my friends/supporters/fans. Why am I eager to show progress/improvement to them? Let's take yourself as an example, Vanilla. You've been rather supportive and patient with me. That's a welcome change compare to the various competitive environments I used to find myself in, so I'm all the more eager to improve as a result. ^^ Β
Last but not least, I've had a wonderful experience with FIM to the point that it's the only show I care about; the other shows bore me. Usually, I find it rather difficult to care about fictional characters for one reason or another, but not so with FIM. I just find those ponies to be so interesting and relate-able. It also helps that, despite all the chaos and drama in my past, FIM has remained a constant to me. For example, I had to move for a job-related purpose back in 2012, and I ended up rather far away from families and friends. So, FIM helped me with maintaining some semblance of normalcy even when everything else was changing drastically. I know that it's still just a show, but I'll never forget it because it has had very real positive impacts on me despite being fictional. After all, I wouldn't have met people like yourself if it weren't for FIM.Β In one way, I guess I'm trying to return the favour for all of those countless hours of entertainment (Drawings, movies, music, etc. ) I've had the pleasure of enjoying.
But yes, there you have it! Sorry about the length, you probably were expecting my response to be shorter. >.>
In any case, it's great that you've been doing better, Vanilla. ^^Β

Aweeeeeeee, no motivation is the worst, but hey at least you came out with this one! I certainly really love how this one came out & looks really amazing. The details in here shows the effort put into this & I really love the look of this. The painting method you went for is what I love a lot, it's super appealing & leaves for this really unique look as in here it shows her mane really flowy & free with the strands that give it character & depth, haha talking about depth in manes. But in all seriousness I really love the look of everything in here, her wings with the shading that is so great & the fluffiness of the wings. i adore this <3333333333333333333333333 AND OF COURSE, YOU NAILED HER EXPRESSION WELL IN HERE, SO GREAT AS ALWAYSΒ

Is that Fluttershy or Scootaloo?
The coloring has me a tad confused.
Either character would be good for this picture though. lol
