Superb quality. As you say, that render must be very heavy for a "normal" machine.

Well worthy for you.

Good words man! I appreciate your support. And yaeh, I will wait as long as I need to get better quallity.

With the it will be easy to keep track on your works.

My Xeon is almost ready and then I'll be able to post some of my own 3D works with some hardcore renders... right now I feel my gallery should mostly be Photoshop or photography related but that will eventually change.

See you around.

you know what I think!? My oppinion is that when you have the eye for the good render (what I think you got considering your works) then the rest is just a matter of time to catch up.

RuiG In reply to vankata [2006-10-03 00:04:14 +0000 UTC]

So true.

I work as a product designer so in my freetime (when that eventually happens) I try to stay away from the 3D stuff. Photoshop is a passion and suits another side of my prespective of reality.

.....looks great. Only thing I'm not sure on is the taillight. Is it a texture? ...not actually modelled? cause it looks a bit flat.
Otherwise, amazing.

Well, the tails are glass and chrome reflector behind. And the glass got texture so...i guess is normal to look flat. I don't know for the other modelers but for me lights are got damn hard.

That's cool...I was just curious.
I like it when no textures or bump maps are used....when every little bump is modelled. It kills render times and is kinda inefficient, but I just think it's neat that way lol.
Nice gallery btw.

Yeah man, I am trying to model everything, no textures no bump maps...but sometimes...god, it is too much work.

I love your Audi TT work. I always taught that if I use some HDR for reflection I have to put it for background too, but seems like you did pretty good job by putting another BG. I love black and white, but will be better if you leave something colorful, the red tails or the orange blinkers works great for that.

you rule!!! damn that is almost the best car I ever seen, and I've seen a lot!! haha, really you're good! Love the detail, the colors, the lightning, everything! How long does it take to model this? I'm busy with a motorcycle now, and I've spend 200 hours allready. Also creates all the detail etc!

Like your work
Keep it up!

This is really a cool one but I think that the render time is so much for this.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

vankata In reply to temtaker [2006-10-01 09:32:02 +0000 UTC]

Well, yeah I have noticed that I can reduce this render time to like 30 minutes and the only difference will be on the edges and their sharpness. It is soo distracting when I see it so I preffer waiting cople more hours but make it alot better.

On the other hand I am sure it is possible to get the same exact quallity as it is now on shorter time rendering but...you know, that is the whole point of learning

Yeah dude sometimes I ask myself the same exact thing...and sometimes I say even outloud "I must be some kind of a crazy guy" witch sometimes it is not even funny. But yeah...

Dr-VanderShmoot In reply to vankata [2006-10-01 15:02:31 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I couldn't even imagine doing that. I would just leave it at the dashboard and seats to make it look like I did something...

I wonder how did you turned one of your threads while rendering in Vray?

vankata In reply to accodeum [2006-10-01 09:43:28 +0000 UTC]

Well since my machine is a dualcore system I press ctrl+alt+del and I go in the task manager and under the process list I find my max process and hit left mouse button and you can choose the processors which will be working
