The first thing I thought was, what a beautifully illustrated tree, and then read the description - watercolour? wow, that's very hard to do this sort of work with. Well done, it looks really good!

I really love the color in this peice. Not vibrant, more "muted", I guess, which I think is really, really nice. The extra items and creatures--like the well, the eggs, the cats and the butterflies--add a lot of movement and excitement.

the leaf umbrella is reminiscent of the ones the totoros use in tonari no totoro. the gray and white cat also resembles the chibi and medium totoros whose arms and legs aren't as defined as the big one's.

This is lovely. It looks so fantastical, and just looks like one of those things that come right out of children's books. Which, I'm sure, was the intent. Excellent job.
