do people know how heavy a sword like this one actually is?

Looks like it's roughly to the proportion of, say...I'd guess towards a claymore.Β possibly a little off, but it'd likely be pretty close to the weight, at least.Β According to wikipedia that's a solid 6 lb. if it's on the heavier end of weight.Β I may guess upwards to about 10-12 at the heaviest, but I'll be honest I feel like I'm overshooting to say such.
If you meant that rhetorically, I'd like to assert that this is definately not the heaviest offender.Β Certainly no buster sword!

swords are actually nowhere near has heavy as people have tried to say. Swords weighing twenty someodd pounds is a myth. You think a soldier, let alone some traveling mercenary, would be able to use a twenty pound sword in a skirmish? And prolonged fights are out of the question.
