No problem, it's a great tattoo you have! And it's cool that you're a vegetarian too, I've been one for nearly 9 years, how about you?

I'm a vegetarian for less time than you...about five years...
But I'm completely sure that I'll never eat meat again..
I have a lot of respect for the animals

Love it. I got mine for my mom for mother's day with the symbol of the mother, the maiden and the crone. I also got it for myself with the meaning of past, present and future.

Hmm. And what particular symbol might this be?

It is an Irish symbol that represents a lot of things including the "three realms" - Sea, Land and Sky. It can also symbolize reincarnation and the phases of the moon and the concept of the triple Goddess. Have you heard of Newgrange? It is a prehistoric monument in County Meath, and inside Newgrange there are triskeles carved on the rocks. The number Three was/is a meaningful number in Celtic Paganism. It has a lot of meaning for me personally, but that would add to an already too long post. Sorry if you knew a lot of this already.

No, I didn't know any of this (though I have heard of the "three realms"), but I do find it interesting - and the symbol itself is beautiful. Also, try never to feel that a post is too "long", especially if it has something important you want to impart. On the contrary, here - as on most existing
"community" websites - people communicate mostly in "soundbyte" language;
lazy single sentence comments, truncated words & abbreviations and smiley faces - and so don't really say much of anything anyway (one of the reasons I can't stand Facebook, for instance - even though I'm on it)

Well thank you , I'm glad you find it interesting, if you're ever in Ireland, try and visit it, it is a really amazing place. And I'm the same, I pretty much hate facebook, the fact that people "need" to be on it, and yet I am one of those people. It will fizzle out oneday I guess.
