The Sampaguita (Jasmine) is the national flower of the Philippines and is considered to be an icon of peace. A few places it’s also considered as the ‘flower of love’.
Placido means 'calm’, ‘peaceful’, ‘placid'.
The Japanese Iris was chosen due to the name of the Japanese Scops owl character.
