My computer has been so very incredibly terribly horribly omgwtf slow of late. The background here nearly killed it. No idea why the canvas is so big but it sure didn't help the case of the cough and splutters.Related content

I would love some advice! How do you get clean line art?
This is my first try at going over my pencil lines with coloured texters. I actually thought it came out cleaner than the Artline pen like I usually do. I would love some advice.

al right which programm do you use ?
i use paint tool sai i just can say it´s unbelivabel easy to use
and i makes a lot of fun!!
there you can do the line art and then you can edit the line art really simpel with some tool you can make the line shorter or lasrger and then you can change how big it is at the ends of the line

Ouch. You gotta have super mouse skills to draw lines on the computer like that. Whatever the program it amounts to the same thing. Next time I'll try going over the Artline pen with the mouse like you say but ... ouch. In fact, what I'm doing now on the computer to get these pictures into colour at all is already pixel by painful pixel so it isn't much of a stretch to start out by going over the lines pixel by pixel first ... ouch.
Thanks for the advice. I'm really trying to NOT do so many pictures because although drawing is an engaging experience, colouring fourteen thousand pixels on the computer (and one that splutters at that) is time I could better spend writing. Of course, not saying my writing is any better than my pictures, it's just more my happy thing.

hmmm you´ve got a funy way to draw with the computer whenn you do it pixel by pixel ^^
i make fotos from my drawings and then i do it with sai...so i don´t know i don´t have the problem with pixel. but i have to say my boyfriend is a computer nerd when i have problems with the Programm he do it for me so maybe its a problem with the program you use
ok i get it i´m wirting my own comic and i love drawing more then writing and i get what you say. i like both but one i love!
but please don´t forget to draw your good and you shouldn´t stop it just becouse it´s hard sometimes !

9750 Pixels by 13,875 pixels.
Whatever I do on the computer has to be in one sitting because the pixels bleed into each other on the saved copy forcing me to redo whatever I'd already done presave. So under these conditions the quality of my colour pictures is kinda limited to one step past the point of insanity.
Of course it might help if my computer didn't need to think for five minutes after every time I click to flood fill an area ...
