Hehe the funny thing is, though she's not a journey pony, when paperstarwishes and I were first designing her, Paperstar had happened to have recently bought the Journey sound track.
Infact the first song on that album was on loop during the design process while we were working over skype and join.me
She has a scarf because of who her father is and the background he's come from, that's my OC, Starbuck Cloudhoof.
The funny thing is, while we were making the scarf it looked too bland just being red so we started trying to get a pattern onto it and ended up with something pretty similar to Journey which was just awesome considering we had been listening to journey the entire design process xD

I love the goggles and cape! The clouds in the background are so soft and fluffy looking. They'd make perfect beds for pegasi. ^.^

Now that is a LOT of irony sand. The tail is an interesting aesthetic, I suppose there is some lore about that.
Sweet looking "Journey" fabric too, has a great flow to it.

Well Starlight's mother is Lorelei Hoshi which belongs to a friend of mine and she's the result of the shipping of Lorelei and Starbuck.
Lorelei, tends to go by the name Lore, so when you say there is some lore about that.....you were right xD
