Well after numerous distractions such as watching a few Ranma 1/2 eps, searching for a song on YouTube, and looking for a tutorial on how layer groups work in Krita.I finally colored this after completing the lineart in Inkscape Β

If I recall it's been awhile since I made this. I use the free software called Krita.
Here in this drawing I made the lines in Inkscape (another free program, really good to) then exported to a transparent PNG.
Then imported the lineart into Krita and I colored it in. Fur, hair, clothes were all done on separate layers.
This is certainly one of my better early attempts at using Krita. Nowadays I use a different approach.
