Description
I did it! A tiny bit late, but I did it nonetheless! What a better way to finish this challenge than with this magnificent Pokemon! Lucario has been my favorite since I first played Gen 4, and after seeing his mega evolution in Gen 6, it only further confirmed that.
Man, this challenge was tons of fun! I learned a BUNCH of stuff in a short amount of time, most of it during the first half of my drawings. I think just drawing (almost) every single day is the best way to get better quickly.
I also want to give a special shoutout to ItsWolven for being such a great help, giving me thorough advice on almost every single drawing, for which I'm really grateful.
Now, after I'm done with this, I can't wait to expand on what I've learned and to get better with each drawing. I'm also gonna try to get into actual painting (basically drawing on only one to a few layers), which I struggle a lot with, but I'm hopeful that I'll get the hang of that sometime too!
So yeah, thanks for all the support guys! I hope I'll be able to do the same thing next year, comparing how much I've improved in a year.
As always, constructive criticism is welcome!

Fantastic choice, this Pokemon is undeniably badass. Lucario was my all-time favorite back in the day, and the mega evolution is just amazing.
What a great send-off, you definitely finished strong! Loving the colors here, and the lighting looks great! I especially love the eyes, and how they have this subtle glow about them. The poise is quite ambitious and you tackled it well. My only criticism is that I think you could put even more energy into the pose by exaggerating it a little more. You established that line of action from the grounded foot to the head. Maybe you could raise his right knee, and bring his left hand inwards towards his body so his arm is at something of a 90 degree angle. Something like that. Dynamic poses are just tough. I do like the flow you got going on with the dreadlock things and the fluff.
And congrats on completing the challenge! Your persistence is admirable-- takes a lot to stick with something for that long. And you're absolutely right, drawing often combined with analyzing your own work is a surefire way to improve! And this is a great example of that, you've improved noticeably. It's always great seeing new art from you. And thank you for reading my critique! Not everyone can take critique, let alone make it useful. But I feel feedback is an integral part of growth as an artist-- getting a "fresh pair of eyes" on it, so to speak.

Thank you! I wonder now, what's your current favorite Pokemon? I would guess Salandit, but that could have just been a temporary thing.
I definitely had the longest sketching phase with this one, taking 2-3 times the amount of time I spent on the others. The pose isn't really that special in hindsight, but it just took me forever to get it to look decent. One thing that helped me immensely was adding that bit of shadow on the ground. It set the perspective right away and made things a lot easier.
I agree, getting proper feedback is extremely valuable for improving, and that's why I feel bad when I look at some of your newer artworks. They're all pretty damn amazing and honestly, I try my best to give you feedback on what to improve, but most of the time I just sit there and can't find anything worth mentioning. I mean, on the one hand that shows how polished your drawings really are, but on the other it doesn't really help you too much when I just tell you how great it looks. I hope that I'll be able to "catch up" on your skill level soon though, and in the meantime I'll just continue to give you my honest opinion.

Hmm... my current favorite is probably Salandit, followed very closely by Decidueye. I really just love Rowlet's entire evolution chain.
And honestly, don't even worry about it! I do really appreciate the fact that you like my stuff. Your support is more than enough! It'd be unrealistic to expect someone to find certain flaws if their eyes just aren't trained to see them yet. I look back at my older work (even if it's still relatively new!) and I'm always seeing mistakes that I couldn't see before. And when I create new pieces I'm aware of that, so I just give it my best effort. On top of that, stylized art is so subjective that it makes it hard to say things like "this is wrong". It'd be different if I was doing some sort of fine art, photo-realistic painting or whatever. And when it comes down to it, I'm sure I could get more critique if I actively worked on getting more exposure and asking for it and whatnot. Even submitting to dA groups... there's just too many, I never know where I should submit. And well, I'm lazy.
But, I am my own harshest critic anyways.
