Lore for the Khajiit lost to the void of Oblivion.
Boethra (Fad’yari) “Jealous Mother” – The scorned god of Plots, credited with stranding the Khajiit in Noweyr long ago. She fights with Mara, encouraging the Khajiit to give in to their desires to drown their misery. Stories claim Boethra stole the Khajiit from Azurah due to a longing to have a kitten of her own. Despite the successful theft, she continues to jealously eye Azurah’s litter, negligent of their wellbeing. To placate the Khajiit, Boethra taught them how to be reborn from the Creatia, in a holy place called the Womb Waters. Here, the dead may rise again, cleansed of all their pain to serve the colony again. The Khajiit believe the Womb Waters are the literal womb of Boethra, and treat her as a second mother. However, those born from the waters are bound to the realm, destined to return. Boethra is the goddess of Hunt-Lords, and Guardian of the Old Ways, before the rise of the Riddle’thar. Under Boethra’s motherhood, the lost Khajiit became the Junathra’a, the Void Spirits, raiding the Daedric realms for resources. On the nights of the New Moon, Boethra dons the cloak of Lorkhaj and wages war across the myriad planes of Oblivion. On these nights, the Junathra’a retreat to Noweyr and lurk in silent meditation, their society coming to a standstill.
