I like that about Wolverine. He's like the hard-shelled, soft-hearted uncle who can basically get along with any of the younger and vulnerable characters of the X-Men. And if you were a fan of Wolverine & The X-Men show, you can see that he has the potential to be a leader -however reluctant- and keep everybody safe to the best of his ability. He's a greatly written character, no wonder people love him so much ^^

That man was like the X-men GOD in the 80's
he made up everything awesome about the best era of X-men

So true! I gave up on the X-Men maybe 8-10 years ago, there were some interesting story here and there in the years that following the Claremont/Byrne run, but it never seemed quite as good and somewhere along the way (to me), Marvel lost its way.
