Um... Well... It might have something to do with how her legs make her look like she is slanted to the left. Try flipping the picture horizontally, you might notice it then.
Also, things look more appealing when the critical focus of the piece is not directly in the center. You also have a golden ratio thing going on here.
... Though whether the critical focus is her face or her ass is.... dependent on the pervert... >.>

I feel like this version has a much stronger composition and flow, and you aren't really losing that much of the detail of the original piece, which was mostly mirrored on the other side anyway. I say keep this version
