There will probably comes a time in which when I produce a deviation- It will feel finished. This, obviously, is not That time.Please let me know how I can improve on this- not her necessarily, but the whole picture's feeling.
To clarify- this is Princess Jupiter of Sailor Jupiter on her Castle named "Io". No, I didn't make this up.
The dress and the name came from the glory of the Sailor Moon manga.I was just doodling in preparation for a request about Makoto and Minako when this came out. I kept working on it and it got bigger and bigger. I really miss sometimes the ability to work hard on just one deviation like My Immortal, or even that one with Raven and her Cape. I don't know, there is just something wanting. You know?
I made this whole picture from scratch, which is now for me. No photos but i did get a reference from a stock photo somewhere here on Deviant art for the pillars but not enough to credit. I'll probably use it at another time.
WELL! Don't let my ramblings on and on distract you from enjoying this. I rarely draw Mako-chan although i should. She's Canada's Favorite after all.
uhg. i didn't eat enough today.

Overall I think this picture is good, especially since you did this from a blank canvas. You're posing of Makoto is really good as well as her expression.
As for some advance critiquing, I think your prespective is off just a bit and maybe some more color variation to it. You so far have chosen mainly browns, grays, and such which are good colors but are very neutral colors.

Hm, maybe you can make your drawing...more brighter? Not like sun bright, but maybe add a couple of kind of bright streams of light (lol, I rhymed!!

I think the picture would feel alittle more finished with sunlight instead...but obviously that would make it a different picture...

This is very nice, and Makato is my third favorite character, ^^I think it's a bit dark, maybe add variation of light. I can sorta tell but it's kinda hard.

well, on how to fix it i don't know cause on first look i didn't realize anything was wrong haha!
i guess i just imagine sailormoon castles a little differently. more white/silvery and kind of rome meets the space age.
and perhaps add some height variation with the foliage?
but i like it how it is too.

I'd say add some yellow butterflies to bring out the others. Other than that, it's amazing! At first I thought it was 3D^^

Aw, I love it! Jupiter is so awesome. I love how you draw the princess sailors.
My suggestion would be add some slightly more intense highlights to the areas of the picture that are bathed in light. The values are all pretty close together right now.
