Description
The Newport Fire Department officially hands over the keys of six (6) Fire Engines and three (3) Gator Units to the Montana Island Fire Department. The Montana Island Fire Department hosted a simple arrival of honors at Montana Island FD 4th Helitack Base to the fifteen (15) NFD Officials and Personnel who attended the turn-over ceremony. Present at the ceremony, MFD Fire Commissioner and Fire Chief along with Battalion Chiefs and Firefighters who rendered the arrival honors.

The NFD were toured around the base and were shown around the MFD Apparatus while NFD Personnel from FSD and Frontline Division conducted basic orientation to the firefighters who will operate the donated fire engines. The NFD is expected to return back to Pinesdor after three (3) days. After the turn-over ceremony joint fellowship and training, meeting, strategic planning, and exchange of knowledge and techniques will be conducted during the three (3) days stay of NFD at Montana Island.
