Bio:

Ilvaria is the tallest of her race as she was created to be the queen. She became a drider by the process of fleshwarping*. She doesn't remember anything of her life before this process and neither do any of the others. All she knows is that she has a deep-seeded hatred for something, and it bothers her that she will never know what it was. This is also fueled with the fact that she cannot reproduce or ever have her own children.

She never wanders far out of her colony very often, but when she does, it's most likely she's gone to visit her friend and darling Dr. Philter. She shows no interest in pony society or how things are in Equestria. She's well aware that her and her kind would be seen as monsters. The thoughts angers and saddens her at the same time and often ends up with her rambling to Philter while he's doing his *ahem* experiments.

Fun facts:

- Her name actually came from the example names for female drow on the D20pfsrd website.

- Ilvaria is the only one of her kind that actually cannot reproduce.

- After the fleshwarping process, a drider never remembers their past.

Changed up her design a bit from the original I had filed around somewhere and I am very happy with her. The way I drew her expression and hair just brings out her personality rather well. I have never been more happy to lose a contest because it resulted in her creation.

Dr. Philter is owned by pretty-pegasus-wings

And yes, I know what an actual drider is in D&D/Pathfinder terms. I know what fleshwarping is and ponies are basically in placement of the drow as they can only become driders.

* Fleshwarping is the practice of altering a creature’s physical form and mental state by way of a grisly mystical and alchemical process. It starts with submerging the subject in a vat filled with a magical and alchemical goo concocted of strange reagents, and infused with a multitude of living insects and other vermin. The goo dissolves and reshapes the flesh and bone of the subject while the vermin eat away at unwanted flesh, making way for the new, alchemically grown flesh to take hold. The process is torturous, and the subject is kept alive and conscious throughout it.
