a new boy....a handsome boy.... me and deerbait wanted to make more characters together so we did,
most incubi/succubi are human-like, easily summoned by various witches and the like for more carnal uses. some summoners have more unique needs and preferences that require the attention of greater incubi, far larger and monstrous individuals than their lesser kin
ferdi is a big ol fella, but also very mellow and easy to work with for an incubus. he loves accommodating the needs of his summoners and is happiest in more submissive roles
currently hes affixed to a very rambunctious and self serving witch (martie’s character) whom he has grown very soft for, in many more ways than one

So am I to take it that means the notion that it's not a denotation of sex e.g. mare/stallion, but rather a denotation of whether the demon in question is a top (incubus) or a bottom (succubus) did, indeed, figure into your thinking in regards to this guy's creation?

definitely. originally i had gone with a more incubus leaning w this character but as they shifted in roleplay it ended up that succubus was ultimately a more fitting descriptor. tho tbh in the worldbuilding i generally fuss with the terms themselves are irrelevant and succubi and incubi are technically all under the same kind of sex demon
