oh just busy dueling..lol....my duel has been going so quick that i've had very little time for other art projects, but it's nearly finished, and then i will get back to concentrating on other things....besides, the duel is very good for my creativity!

i work in IT support..not very exciting at all, and i'd much rather be doing something creative...what do you do for a living??? yes, i can imagine that some rainy weather would be fantastic relief from all that heat! we have not had much rain here at all this year and are having a bit of a drought...

That sounds interesting, so do you build programs, or more on techincal support side of things.
You can always start your own webdesign and design company.
Where about it USA do you live?
I am a qualified Graphic Designer, but beacuse my country has so little job opportunity i cannot get a job here. I am currently working for an online accommodation portal called [link] , i am the webmaster. its real boreing too, but me and my girlfriend have just opened our own website and starting to do freelance graphic design and digital art, so as soon as this picks up im quitting this boreing job.....

no, i'm don't do programs...although that is what my university degree was in....but now it's been such a long time since i've done any programming that i'm out of date, i'd have to go back to school and start all over again....i'm more on the technical support side....i don't really like the IT industry at all...with exception of using computers for my artwork..
sorry to hear that you are unable to find work in your chosen field....have you considered going abroad??? it's cool that you and your gf are starting your own business! i hope that it's very successful and that you can earn enough from it to quit your other job. I don't actually live in the USA..i'm from there originally, but i live in the UK...and have done now for quite a few years.. i like it well enough here, although i find england to be a bit dirty and overcrowded...not to mention, expensive....but you get used to all those things eventually! do you live in cape town????

I am getting alot of Graphic Design work from America , so i keep searching for more everyday.
I really want to find Jobs in The Digital Illustration field though, that is my passion.
I was in london for awhile was very cool experience but way too overcrowded.
I just moved here 2 years ago and loving it, i live right next to the sea and mountains so its a paradise to me..

well at least you are getting some design work from america! that's got to help! yes, london is definitely overcrowded, i think all of england is...but i suppose being a small island (of sorts!) there's not really room for people to spread out.....you are very lucky to live near both the sea and the mountains! that would indeed be paradise........where did you move there from???

I used to Live in Johannesburg for a couple of years then i moved to Botswana, a African country just above South Africa, it is the richest country in South Africa but still very primitive compared to South Africa.When i completed school i moved to Pretoria - back to South Africa, and after my Graphic Design studies were compete we decided top move to cape town as its so beutiful and inspirational....

commissioned work?? yes, i have done some, but not alot....i've done a few book covers and made a couple of pieces for a work colleague who wanted to have some photos of his tattoos taken and then included in some artwork so that he could give them to his tattooist...i'd certainly like to do more commissions...stuff like CD covers and posters....that sort of thing....

Thats very cool, I have only done a few jobs relating to The digital side of things, but alot of graphic design work, its not that exciting, but so much more money there, I would ldov to just be doing my Digital stuff thought like Cd cover and Posters ect, but just gotta tap into that market, i know it is there!!
I have done 1 Cd cover and quite a few 3d illustrations and lots of Graphic Design stuff.
