The article is right, but the author of the creatures and future scenario is still Dougal Dixon. Pamela Weintraub just wrote the article. I don't know why Dixon developed a whole new future for Man After Man.But on the inside back flap of the book jacket, there is a picture of Dixon holding a self-made model of this guy.

Sorry, wrong work and author. This guy was from Pamela Weintraub's Visions Of Mankind Evolved not Dougal Dixon's Man After Man .
