Description Update: Added in a little doodle I put onto the back of the envelope. Deadpool is having too much fun with the poop on a stick and Spiderman is NOT amused.

2nd Update: Added another piece of art at the back label of the envelope to show that Deadpool succeeded in his self imposed "operation: poo on Spidey" mission. Wade is quoting from Monty Python: The Holy Grail:

Large Man with Dead Body: Who's that then?

The Dead Collector: I dunno, must be a king.

Large Man with Dead Body: Why?

The Dead Collector: He hasn't got shit all over him.

My Dad, who is actually my step-father is somebody I adore and cherish like a real dad because he was there for me during the more pivotal moments of my youth and even when he and mom stopped dating after a few years, I'd never forgotten him, pining for his return. So, you can imagine my excitement when mom called me up in 2006 and said he'd called her up, telling her he'd never forgotten her and still cared very much for her. Shortly after that fated call, they'd started dating again. I was bouncing off the walls I was so happy. Four years later, Roger proposed and they were married!! So, having disowned my biological father who I refer to as "the old man", I have since referred to Roger as "Dad" though respectfully, I do call him Roger, but God, I love this guy and have pretty much adopted him as mine. 'nuff said!

Dad is awesome and has always been my first and biggest advocate for my creativity. He encouraged me to do anything and everything I was good at or had an interest in, like write and draw as much and as often as possible, paint his pewter action figures/busts/weaponry, play Everquest and World of Warcraft, watch Star Trek and Star Wars, etc etc.... all of it much to my mother's chagrin (she thought I should be doing something more constructive with my time, like studying, playing soccer, cleaning my room, or doing some other household chore/yard work, etc). Dad loves all things comics and is like, the biggest fan-boy nerd I know and has been long before I was born so it was always an element in my life. Dad was the one who took me to the comic book store, bought me sci-fi books, comics, posters, t-shirts, action figures, etc and pretty much integrated me into the entire world of comic book fandom. I can't even begin to express how much his love of Comics and Rock and Roll influenced me so profoundly that it changed my life forever. First and foremost, if there's anyone I'd most enjoy going along with to a comic book store or the latest Marvel/DC, etc film, it's him. I'm an adult now and I don't get to do that anymore because I live in Issaquah, WA and he's 3,500 miles away in South Carolina where I'm from, but I have very fond memories of the good old days and hope someday we can still go on an adventure again next time I visit my folks.

anyway, I've said before that my first love has and always will be Spiderman and I also adore Spidey's love/hate dynamic with Deadpool so I really enjoy fanart of these two and their antics. You see these two and you pretty much KNOW they're up to no good so I wanted to emphasize that in my own silly little way. I alway send my Dad birthday and Father's Day cards, mostly because it means a lot to me to acknowledge him as much and as often as I can because he doesn't have any biological kids of his own and he's such an important person in my life, that I feel honored to have become his daughter and that he accepts me as such. I want to remind him that he matters and this year I've decided to draw him some pictures, which I know he misses me sending to him. So, on June 4th, his bday, I'll be thinking of him and hoping this card will give him an even bigger reason to smile and laugh more than usual.

So here's some poop in your eye!!

By the way, my friends and folks know I'm a total cat fan so it's not unusual for me to send and receive all things cat related so I tend to gravitate toward kitty themed items like this card and I was laughing out loud in the card section of the store when I found it. So I just HAD to have it!

Deadpool and Spider-Man, one of the best and funniest superhero team-ups/couples ever.^^

I know how you feel-family is family, regardless if they're your blood relatives or not. I myself have a mom, a dad, a step-mom, step-siblings (on both sides), half-siblings, and people-who-aren't-really-related-to-us-but-might-as-well-be-because-for-all-intents-and-purposes-they-are-family. My step-dad (Papa) passed away a few years ago sadly.
