Because it's late and BJ decides to take Lydia for a random midnight flight since his girl is a bit of a night owl and too restless to sleep so out on a clear starry night they go. I dunno why but I really enjoyed drawing them without shoes. Just goes to show how comfortable they are and that sir random crap man will not be deterred from romantic diversion with the lovely lady Lydia.
sorry I don't have much else to say. I just felt like drawing these two some more (not that anyone is really complaining, heh). (btw, BJ is wearing jeans, hence the frayed knee holes, but that will be more obvious when I color it).
...a continuation to these pieces, which I drew forever ago...

BJ's face is better than the other one where he's bothering Lydz while she's studying but I'm still going to draw his nose and face a bit better. I rather like the roman nose that closer resembles the cartoon, but eh, tomato tomahto...it needs fixing

They are pretty darn cute, aren't they? I was a little worried that people wouldn't like my interpretation of BJ (even though I did make an effort to keep his more important features). He's a little different overall because he's transformed himself to fit in and because he would do anything for Lydia, he even cleans up and smells nice even though he still tends to be gross for the sake of freaking others out. But hey, if behaving himself, taking baths, and wearing clean alternative clothes is the price he has to continue haunting his girl, then he'll damn well do it.

Oh, it's the pants. There aren't any stripes on the pants, where I figured there would be, since he has his striped jacket. I like the holes in the knees though. And in general, all the lines are sketchy. I guess I'm just saying that it's not all finished up with crisp lines and stripes on the pants.
Regardless, it's Beetlejuice. I love it when you draw Beetlejuice.

BTW, I'm very glad you enjoy my BJ x Lydia drawings. I realize that it only looks somewhat like the animated version, but I figured so long as I keep the important details of their appearance, style doesn't matter

Yeah, I agree. I like your style of drawing BJ & Lydia. I think it's just fine to draw using your own style instead of sticking strictly to the original design. I do that too.
