Eep scary church >< Very well done, I love the creepy daunting feeling to it ^^ Churches just seem really evil to me, even on sunny days, I often feel like I'm walkign into a prison or a torture chamber. Having said that, Wimborne Minster is BEAUTIFULLY designed

Haha true enough! I was in Wimborne Minster and the priest came to me all friendly-like and said "Its magnificent isn't it?" I agreed and said that I liked it better than the modern one we have in Corfe Mullen to which he stopped short and said, "Well, a church is a church it doesn't matter what it looks like." I completely disagreed saying churche sonly hold architectural interest for me and he walked away frowning. I had to try REALLY hard not to laugh.

Haha, true, there are some crappy curches out there that hold no architectural merit - I like the pointy old ones!

Mmm, I have a friend who is MAD on drinking but can hold a fair amount so it doesn't seem to matter so much. And then I have another one who's just started smoking. That one worries me because he's young enough to die of it before his time. =[

To process the RAW file you will need either Photoshop with the Adobe Camera RAW (ACR) Plugin 3.6 as a minimum (free download from Adobe site). It may already be installed depending on what version of photoshop you have. OR you can use an alternative RAW processor like Adobe Lightroom or DXO etc.
Once you have the RAW file open in lightroom or photoshop use the exposure slider to adjust the image so that you can see all detail in the shadows, export that file as a TIFF or JPEG with the filename "-1". Then with the same RAW image reopen it set the exposure to a nice even exposure; export as "0". Lastly do it again and this time expose for detail in the highlights export it as "+1".
You can then import those three (or more if you decide to HDR from 5 or even 7 images) into Photomatix. Photomatix won't automatically order the shots for you like it does when you take shots straight out the camera as some EXIF data is lost. This is why you name them -1,0,+1 so you can order them easily yourself. Then you just Tone Map as you would normally.
2 things to remember though:
If you adjust other settings of the RAW file like sharpness, blacks, recovery of highlights, fill light, white balance etc etc. You will need to use the same settings of those for every RAW process. Its just the exposure you alter.
Regardless of the fact that RAW images typically have 20x the dynamic range of a JPEG so you can alter exposure far easily after the shot, when you push changes too radically you will get some noise in the shadows/highlights. Nothing that something like NoiseNinja plugin wont get rid of but its best to avoid if possible. So if the shooting situation allows you to exposure bracket rather than multiple RAW process then I would, if its like the example I used the other day with wind blowing a flower or whatever then the RAW option is perfect.
Hope that helps.
