Description
And so, onto a new story, a new direction, no more negatives, no more prints, i'll be cleaning up my gallery and removing some stuff i just don't think represents me as an artist, i have over 200 deviations and i have so many more to submitabout this one - special thanks go out to Ella for this one - she showed me a pointer and i fell in love with the result - bad quality scan until i get my computer set up.

Fantastic! The line quality is good. It balances very well, the amount of negative space and black. I like how some of it is quite large with little detail while some is very intricate.

this is truly an inspired piece. i like the way its organic and still very much not. i could stare at this for hours and once i have monies again i plan on buying several prints from you.

For your critique request:
I mentioned to you that this piece is one of the works I find the most magnetic in your gallery.
It has all the qualities that I enjoy in the style you've developed and demonstrated in other works, but here are things that make it stand out for me:
- Strong, obvious focal point with lots of information and keeps you scanning and returning.
- There is a lot of rich variety in the line work itself, showcasing a lot of different motifs and styles, but in such a manner as to build on the entire piece, as opposed to seeming like stray elements. The kinda "diversity in wholeness" works well here.
- Pseudo-symmetry and balance. Inverse repetitions of designs on both sides of the main focal mass. For being very curvy and twisty, it seems very orderly and complete.
- Depth. The lighter elements on the top left to the darker plots on the bottom right confer the sort of overall impression you'd get from the light information off a 3d object. Combine that with all the abstractions 'running interference' on that impression makes my head keep trying to re-assemble it, in entertaining futility. That feeling of impossible space / impossible geometry is the sort of thing I find kinda scintillating and gives me a total metaphysical/theoretical hard on.
Anyways, that's basically the best I can do as an expansion on the statement "I really like it". I don't have any formal art education, so this is pretty much an enthusiastic 'layman's opinion, but hopefully it helps.

This was very much a one-off for me, I haven't been able to recreate anything nearly as good since, this is my most popular piece and without being big headed, I think for a very good reason, most of the things you say above in fact

I definitely see the change you mentioned... though you still keep something reminiscent of the older style in the center area. I like that fusion, and the overall effect that this has is visually very pleasing.
