I did this for the Darkstalkers Tribute book from Udon. Pick up a copy at [link] ! I've never really played the game but I have always enjoyed the artwork. Demitri is my favorite character because he's a vampire and I thought it would be interesting to see him ready to feed. I went back into this one before posting because I wasn't happy with the first version. Let me know what you guys think!Related content

I'm really loving this take on him! While it's absolutely the Demitri Maximov that I know and love, I get more of a straight-up gothic, Bram Stoker sort of feel from your piece than I do a Capcom fighting game vibe. This looks so much to me like a classical painting. Your style is wonderful.

First off I hope you don't mind a little friendly critique.
I love Demitri, he looks absolutely perfect from his jawline to his huge flowing cloak, I love the design and the feeling from the picture.
The only thing I would recommend would be to put some more details in to the woman; give her a little of an outline like you did with Demitri and I'd love to see some more details on her face.

Ya know... I LOVE Darkstalkers.. the art the concept... But Dimitri was always one that I did not liked the art... a vampire in spandex? It bothered me.

Firstly, your posts are always impressive to me. This one however is just off the charts. The contours move the eye in a counter-clockwise circle all the way around and by the time you get there, you've forgotten about the entire Darkstalkers theme. The contrast and colors also play some interesting tricks in there. Very very well done!

I love the color and the style. The curve of her neck seems a bit off([link] ), and I almost feel like she would be better in full profile just like he is, since the graphical feel is so strong in this piece.
