And this would be my very first coloured DBZ drawing that I’ve uploaded to DA!
Let me tell you---I had a horrible time with this! D: It took absolutely forever to get it right ;_; After a while the colours just wouldn’t blend anymore and I was losing my nerve and faith in it. I stayed up until 3:00 AM on a school night just to finish this…it had me in tears for a while but I think I have finally gotten it to a place where I can bear it.~

Background on the doujinshi and its content: PLEASE READ!

This is a yaoi doujinshi which takes place sometime after the ending events of DBZ (assuming GT never happened.) It is a basic storyline in which I will attempt to portray Goku and Vegeta finally giving into their desires after supposedly holding them back during the canon events of the show. Keep in mind this is AU, or alternate reality. I love Goku and Vegeta as a couple because the canon love they have for one another, homosexual or not, is strong enough to be portrayed alternately through an amazing love/romantic relationship. This does not necessarily mean that I think that Vegeta and Goku are really gay in the true storyline of DBZ, this is simply an interesting possibility that I am willing to explore. To me, love is love. Heterosexual or homosexual, a good love story is a good love story, and Goku and Vegeta make for an absolutely fascinating one.
Keep in mind, that in my doujinshi, everything you ever saw in past DBZ episodes is staying how it is in the past of my story. Nothing of what you already know about DBZ already has changed. In this story, the only AU aspect is the yaoi and that Goku and Vegeta are not exactly comfortable or in understanding of their (possible) long fought desires for one another. The AU however, will be based and backed up on actual fact from the real storyline of DBZ. In other words, I am trying to make this as real as possible-- as if Goku and Vegeta really did have feelings for each other, what would really happen if they just couldn’t hold them back any longer? There will be absolutely no OOC.
As far as uke and seme go, most of you guys know already where I’m going with that. It will be very hard for me to explain what I’ll be doing there, just know that there will be no designated uke or seme. I believe that their relationship is too deep and complex to have one or the other put into a consistent dominant or submissive role. Basically, They will—in a way, switch positions, or be somewhat at the same level. This doesn’t mean I have anything against those who enjoy drawing it one way or the other; it only means that I want to try something new. You must come into this with an open mind
