I've seen Moana 5 times now and cannot get enough: the culture, the colors, the story...it's all fascinating and magical. So here is my Polynesian character, Nalani.

Name: Nalani (meaning: quiet skies)
Age: Sixteen
Gender: Female
Home: Honumotu (Turtle Island)
Status: Villager
Skills: Pottery, navigating the stars, taming sea turtles
Tattoo: sea turtle with inner lily (meaning: each Islander is assigned a spirit animal and flower); waves (meaning: has mastered the art of sailing)
Personality: Nalani is kind, gentle, and adventurous. She has a passion for pottery and has filled many huts with her work. At a young age she showed a talent for taming sea turtles; they gravitated towards her and allowed her to touch their shells, granting her the honor of calling the sea turtle her spirit animal. Nalani has a younger sister whom she adores and devotes herself to; she will make a natural mother someday.
Hobbies/interests: Pottery, sitting on the beach with the turtles, sailing, singing, teaching her younger sister the ways of their people.
