Description This is a picture of my sculpture of the Grand Duke of Owls from the animated film "Rock-A-Doodle". The Grand Duke of Owls is the lead villain in the film, and one bad bird: he turned a boy into a kitten, tried to eat him, and then nearly killed him. The Duke is played by the great actor, Christopher Plummer.

My depiction of the Grand Duke took some time to do, because of the size of the thing. The Duke required a lot of clay to make and firing him was some kind of bothersome task.

Thanks! Lamentably, the sculpture is somewhere in my desk drawers and is long since crumbling. I'm planning to restore it later, though.

No problemo, and i'd love to see a restored version of it.

Who knows how Uncle Dukey got his powers? I guess because he is a creature of the night and so is privy to the same spells and hexes as most shady beings.

A pox on criticism, says I. Film reviews take the fun out of the movie experience.

You know, I think he is really evil and you know you are one if your sing a song that starts with "twiddly-dee"

You know you're an epic villain when you can start a song with the words "Twiddley Dee" with the subject manner being about batteries and still have it come out sounding sinister.

WOW. Great detail. He's one of my favorite villains, though the movie is just too strange.

Thanks! You know, I have his owls (at least some of them) and Hunch ready, too. I just haven't photographed them yet.

See, I sculpt these characters from all manner of animated movies into miniatures figurines.
I have most of the others ready, too. Name a name and I can tell you if I built it.
