Description I don't remember when I painted this, but it was sometime before June 14, 2020.  Copyright me... I think.

"Star O'er the Forest" is by no means perfect, but to me, this is a winter wonderland.  The pure white snow shines under the full moon's gleaming light, with vibrant evergreen Christmas trees growing everywhere.  Above it all, the stars burn brilliantly... but none stand out more than the Christmas Star.

Why is this a winter wonderland for me?

-When Jesus forgives us of our sins, we are washed white as pure snow.  We are still not perfect, but we are forgiven and allowed a second chance.

-The green trees symbolize Jesus, the Reason for the Season, in many ways.
~~According to Phil Vischer's take on the Christmas Tree's origin story (featured in the DVD "Buck Denver's Why Do We Call It Christmas?"), "You use this tree to build your homes; let Christ be at the center of your households.  Its leaves remain evergreen in the darkest days; let Christ be your constant light.  Its branches reach out to embrace, and its top points to Heaven; let Christ be your comfort and guide."
~~This isn't included on the DVD, but green also means life.  Since evergreen trees are green all year round, they show how we receive eternal life in Christ when we believe in Him, accept Him as our Lord and Savior, study His teachings, and encourage (not demand; we get that wrong a LOT) others to give their lives to Him.

-The Christmas Star, the inspiration for this painting's name, led the Wise Men to the Baby Jesus.
