Sorry, I just noticed you wanted feedback on the colors.
The shading is well down and detailed, also you chose good skin tones.
But that kind of soft shading is more suitable to less prominent linearts (mainly because there is a visual confusion between the shaded details and thick borders).
Still it's very good coloring, keep it up.

once again, nice lines! I think the background works well and adds to the whole picture. I would say of the coloring style that it's not bad, though like you said, it might suit other pictures better? for this particular picture, since the lines are very bold and dominant, probably a more flat coloring style would match it...not that I really know, since I'm no pro!! XD; either way, it's quite eye-catching! nice job.
