Wind in my sail, A Viking ship with a vegvisir on the sail. This is hand tooled piece of thin Brass (Repousse) 9" X 6" I treated it with acid and then tarnished it to make it look old. It is derived from my tattoo (the viking ship) and Bjork's tattoo (the viking compass) It symbolizes Bjork's influence on me and the motivation and power she has given me to start doing artwork again after I had almost lost the willpower to do so! Well, my Viking blood is quite interesting! As I might have told you already I am not Norwegian, but Romanian. The Romanians are of Roman or Dacian heritage. I am of Dacian heritage, I feel it in my blood and the Dacians have many things in common with the Celts and Viking, a lot of symbols and myths, and it's very easy to understand, because once upon a time, we were all descended from the same European tribe. I actually read some articles that suggest that some of the inhabitants of southern Sweden came from the Carpathian area,but these are all just theories. We can never really know what happened!Maybe I have no trace of Viking blood, but what matters most is what I feel in my heart and what gives me a feeling of awe and spirituality. And in that matter, I am more Viking than many others!

Dig that! This is a very cool piece! Being of the Gunn Clan, I've a drop or two of Viking blood in my veins, this has a lot of meaning to me. Awesome image of a long boat! To think about how far they traveled and the adventures they had, it's amazing.
