Description Vue 9 render...Yet another vue tropic landscape. I bet there are thousands of them floating around internet.
I donΒ΄t like the transition between the water and the beach and the sand is to harsch but I am just too lazy to fix it and re-render....

Very nice picture. If you don't mind, could you tell me your rig and how long it took to render please? I bet it is resource intensive.

Hi !

My rig is pretty old by 3d graphichal standards...
Core i7 first generation OC to 4 Ghz 24Gb ram and radeon 6970 (not very good for Vue software-it will be Nvidia when I upgrade)
It took about 6 hours to render it If I remember right..

Do you have a dual, quad or hex core cpu? As for me, I upgraded from an i7 920 4 core cpu to an i7 970 6 core cpu. It made a huge difference to rendering times.

Sorry I didn't see the other peoples comments before I posted mine. Still how long did it take to render?

Yes, but... 24gb ram?? i7 4ghz? hoho... Ok, I will dream about it... With my i5-4Gb ram-1Gb graphic, I just want to destroy my PC every time I run ecosystem function, because it slows down horribly ...

If you have 4gig of ram then you need to increase the windows page file, and if you have more then one hard-drive assign a couple of gigs on every H-drive for paging to speed up the ecosystem process..I had 4 gig of ram until 3 months ago and it worked fine..

Well, sorry, I'm French and I have to admit that I do not quite understand when there are more than four technical terms in the same comment ^^
I have a 640GB hard drive, do you think that increasing the pagination could accelerate Vue?

Yes 6-7 gigs should be plenty

I tried with 8GB, and it's still slow ... Perhaps with 16 GB?

Totally love the mid and background terrain and foliage. Are they actual plants?

They are actual vue solid growth plants. They work nicely when far away from the camera.

I believe it looks great. Yeah, the transition from plants to sand to water looks a little harsh. BUT, I think it isn't that bad.

The only thing I would really worry about going back and fixing would be the water. It looks too flat, but that's just my opinion. The sun hitting those small sized waves would glisten on them. Either way, it still took my breath away!

The vegetation and shape of the hills all looks very good. I think the highlights on those palm trees down in front seems a bit strong, their leaves kinda look white-ish or faded. But they still look better than the default palm trees, even I've learned that droopier leaves with more curl to them in the plant editor instantly makes the coconut tree better, I always use custom ones for that
