A giant Sunblesses our melancholy mountains and hills,
with a blanket of warm
yellow.
Golden rays
reach their vibrant fingertips
out to the rest of the world.
Birds sing simple songs
as if they were only to you,
and the melody never changes.
The wind dances with small blades of grass,
inviting you to come in the golden
morning light.
Trees sway,
branches raised in the air,
praising the bright visage that has risen,
as its golden drops
create a sea of light.
Along with the birds,
I, too, sing a song.
A song just for you.
