But I see red eyes and also the dead skin, the background is also very red, makes me think of the idea of demons. I would never call them zombies, zombies are more green as seen in actual zombie games, and not to mention the ponies is almost skeletal. If it has white eyes, that's a skeleton, but with red eyes, it's more like demons, the last time I played it, they're kind of scary a bit.

As you can see, those are zombie ponies, not demons. Demons have horns, those are walking corpses who were burnt

In zombie games, Zombie have generally a white-rot-flesh color, not green. I play lots of zombie games i can easily say.

I played the game, alright. From the way I see, they look like demons to me. And I watch haunting documentaries, there are demons which only a head is there and has no horns, some of them are like genies with muscular bodies, and those are the real ones. Those with horns & gargoyle wings are the fantasy types.

And I'm no big fan of zombie games but I know them enough, most of them are green or desaturated green. If they're white, they're mostly the undead animated by magic while green ones are like normal zombies, think of it from Thriller & even Plants VS Zombies.

We have our own views and opinions as I'm not new to all of these, just different views. For that pony to be a zombie, I'm thinking like those with worms & with eyes still perfect enough or anything else that looks more rotten, not red and using lots of black colors, even the background in the game is red that classifies more like Hell, that's the reason why I call them demons, or in some cases, poltergeists or wraiths.

The point is. If you call an apple in another way, did he have another taste? No.
Those who have created those things called them pony zombies, so they are pony zombies. Is like the Creators of the Diamond Dogs call them in that way, but for you are more like gnolls and you call them that way, but is simply wrong since you don't create them.
I'm just saying: if the creator called them Zombie Ponies they are. I'm not saying They are zombies because i say so, simply XD
I know that they are not normal zombies, in fact those are the result of burning from inside and a curse, but for simple, they are just called Zombies by the Creator
