Lovely re-colouring but the man's name is Reverand John Harper. His daughter was called Annie Jessie Harper but was known as "Nina" or "Nan". She was six years old at the time. The lady behind them is the niece of John's wife. She is called Jessie Leitch and was rescued along with Nina.
John Harper lost his life in the sinking. It is known that the evening before the sinking he was watching the sunset and said to Jessie "It will be lovely in the morning." Of course, he died before morning came.
He was by all accounts, a lovely man and spent his last moments getting women and children off the ship. He then went about offering those left behind salvation. I have not found a bad word to be said about him. His wife Annie died days after little Nina was born and he raised her with the help of his brother George and George's wife Mary.
