Description
Joe trudged towards school. The walkway stretched out before him, a looping endless causeway. His breathed instantly crystallized and just as quickly melted in the stark December air.

A snowball glided into him
A soft thud waking him from the daydream rhythm of his pace.

Joe:
(looks around)

Ryan:
Go back home, towel head.

Joe:
Silence

Ryan:
WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU SAID GET THE HELL OUT

Joe:
You know very well I’m Cambodian.

Ryan:
Do you know that I’m going to beat the shit out of you if you ever sass me like that again?

Joe:
(silence)

Ryan:
GODDAMNIT!

Ryan runs up to Joe and starts punching him – a fury propels his fists, something more than just teenage angst – a feeling of helplessness, too – a rage at an enemy with no territories, no boundaries – a rage at an enemy he can’t even find.

Ryan:
GIVE HIM BACK!

Ryan’s screams before more desperate and angry as he continues to beat Joe, eventually he tires himself out, and begins to cry.

Ryan:
Give back my dad…

Joe picks himself up, and gives Ryan a hard look.

Then Tourniquet Man leaves.
