I hate the dwemer so much for doing this. I truly hope they are all agonizing in te skin of the god they wished so much to become.
Also your art is always stunning

It reminds me how High/Blood Elves turn into Wretched, if they aren't able to control their magic.

Fascinating... well done! Currently co-writing a fan fic with another Deviant, bringing back some lost Snow Elves to Skyrim... The story of the betrayed is so heart-wrenching, as is the story of the two brothers...

Very interesting... and disturbing. Terrible fate for such a proud race.

Despite what horrors exist in Skyrim, THIS will always top it. To have caused what was a race of proud and prosperous elves to devolve into those blind monsters that no longer even qualify as sentient…THAT is the most terrifying thing in the game. God, what the **** did the Dwemer DO to these guy that caused…THIS?! (It wasn't the glowing mushrooms, given Gelebors testimony on the whole affair.)

Debatable. Any mythology in the elder scrolls universe in subjective and should be taken with a grain of salt. Heck, one of the most well-known figures in the series, Talos, has a lot of controversy regarding his backstory, his rise to power, and even if he became a god or not.
The Snow elves are no exception to this. It's unknown what caused them to attack the Nede settlers, or even if they held them in the same contempt that the other races of elves did. They were wiped out so long ago that any records of them are long to the ages or have long since been destroyed. The only remaining true snow elf, Gelebor, himself doesn't really give an answer about it, and is a completely reasonable individual who doesn't seem to care about the race of the dragon born. Of course, a single individual can't be said to represent the species as a whole, but, it's still noteworthy.

Yes... this is even worse than what Vivec did to the dreugh... They used to be a civilization as advanced as the Dwemer, and he turned them into witless beasts to punish them of breaking a promise and causing a little havoc because of it... It's still very unfair and evil, but at least there was some kind of reason behind...

This is my first time hearing anything about Vivec and a deal with the dreugh. Source, please? (I've only just recently purchased morrowind and am still at the very beginning stages)

Uhm, that's embarrassing, haha. I tried to find my source again but I can't remember where I read this (it might be ingame, maybe?). I really thought it was in the Sermon 28 . Ingame text of Daggerfall does say that dreugh are the remnants of a once proud civilization. I'm starting to wonder if there might have been a translation exaggeration somewhere, since I played Morrowind in French.

The Snow Elves have existed since Morrowind. There is a book on the matter in Bloodmoon called "The Fall of the Snow Prince"

This is very nice! I found a link to this on TES facebook page, and I think the promotion is well deserved. The Falmer is without a doubt one of the most interesting "creatures" of Nirn. I find it very exciting that Gelebor suggests that perhaps they are regaining their intellectual capacity, and I hope that it's something they will follow up on in TES:VI.

The Falmer's story was one that I was very glad that they elaborated on, also. Despite how sad it was, it was nice that they gave that little section of lore closure. It's a point of intrigue for me, too, and I've come up with several headcanons regarding what fungus was used and how it made the Snow Elves regress in evolutionary terms.
