Here is a selfie of me with my (overly-large) black-covered Inktober 2019 sketchbook that I’m using to chronicle all of my submissions—as to create some thematic cohesion—along with some of the various tools I use for rendering the illustrations.

This year’s theme is homoerotic art with male nude ballet dancers and Old-West style nude cowboys, punctuated here and there with some images from a French language period drama, called La Reine Margot (1994), starring the luminous French actress Isabelle Adjani.

Here, I have the sketchbook turned to my illustration for Day 17 “Ornament”—which depicts an image of the before-mentioned film.

Expect more cowboy boots and ballet slippers!
