Description "Slavery reformist Keva Korwin dropped by the Sedition studios for an interview. Of course, we couldn't let her leave without tying her up for a while. Don't worry, she's fine. The crew even took her to lunch."

This is the last of Keva for now, but she's too cute for a one-and-done. There will be more ... some day.

She seems not at all excited to know her face being shared thousands of times in the social networks soon!

Or just wishing she was on the other side of the camera.

Great close-up, and I am totally liking the hand!

Good thing, because hands and arms are all he's got. I turned everything else off to make room for the camera.

I often do the same. Also saves on render time!

I love these kinds of POV works. They can be a real challenge to compose, so big props on the excellent result. Stellar.

Thank you much. I tried to get a believable first-person angle.

It's hard to do. I've actually tried to "put a camera" behind the eyes of the "first person", but the ocular perspective just hasn't worked for me. Must be a way. Good job here.

Thanks. Trial and error. A long time ago, under my old persona, I rendered an entire set of a dude being hanged from a first-person perspective. It wasn't very good, but it felt like a "technical achievement" at the time, and I still think the POV result was interesting.

Basically, I hid the entire head and neck, and then placed a camera between his shoulders and parented it to the invisible head. Had to be careful with the Z-axis clipping into the body, but it worked well.

This far superior Keva render was even simpler on that front. The entire first-person body is turned off except for the hands and arms, and I placed the camera right at eye-level, rotated slightly to match the head. Obviously, if you want to cast full-body shadows from the first-person, a different solution will be required (unless there's some way I don't know about for DS to cast shadows from invisible objects).

I had a bit of free time this morning, so I'm reinvigorating my POV experiments, in this case with the Blair MMA set. One test render is actually the closest I've come to what I envision as true POV, though I have to experiment with the camera(s) more. Seems you actually need two for various conditions; one above the first-person head, and one inside of it, or variably behind it. I'll likely begin posting some results as the Blair set proceeds.

The other task is to account for the effect of peripheral vision in close aspect, which might involve slightly de-focusing the image in post, and selectively in the peripheral circumference. It'll require some fooling about with it.

Yes, you're very close (in rationale and practice) to what I was trying to do. I might have to give it another shot sometime soon.
