Description brush I have made for Manga Studio. Feel free to use it in any program. Its in PNG format so you can format it to your program, or just register as material in Manga Studio.

This is completely free to use. I would love credit, but its not required.

How to set as a brush in Manga Studio 5:
Open the png in MS.
make sure there is very little empty negative space left on either side of the png. This will help the brush repeat well.
right click the layer that the image is on and click "convert layer"
in the convert layer window there should be a drop down menu for "color" "grey" and "black/whtie" It needs to be set to grey for it to pick up your foreground/background colors. If it is already set to grey, awesome.
after exiting the convert layer window go to Edit>register image as material.
this will prompt you to "save" the image as a material.
IMPORTANT! Be sure to check the box that says "Use as brush tip" on the bottom left side of the window!
You may name your brush tip whatever you like, and then use the expand menu on the right hand side of the window to set a location for your brush tip. I usually set it to save under Image>materials>brushes
Once saved, you can create a new brush. You can use a few different settings, but the one I have found most useful is to:
click your "effect" tool on the far left. Find "artificial" or it might be under the "clothing" option there, but you will need to find the lace brush.
once you find the lace brush, right click it and select "duplicate this sub tool" it is going to duplicate it exactly, and not look like a ribboned brush yet.
select the duplicated sub tool. Down the menu, usually below the options for brush density etc, you will see two little symbols: A circular kind of sunburst shape, and a vertical wrench. This is NOT the wrench under the preview of the brush!
click the vertical wrench. This will bring up a window for you to change options in your sub tool. We wont be changing much. Just the brush tip.
on the expand menu to the left of this window, there should be an option for "brush tip" go ahead and click that. It will bring up a section that will display the segment of lace that repeats for the lace brush, and what is currently being used now. It should have a drop down button on that thumbnail.
click the drop down button on the segment of lace thumbnail. This ought to bring up another window that will display every brush tip you can possibly replace the lace with. You can scroll through, or use a search function to find the brush tip you want. Make sure you actually click it! My program keeps pretending that I havent clicked something the first time, and makes me do it again.
Your rope brush should now show up instead of the lace in the brush tip area! It should also repeat just like a rope.
Sometimes, for some reason, a brush tip will display weirdly and ribbon side by side, instead of connecting and repeating how you like. If this is the case, all you have to do with the original png is rotate it 90 degrees left or right, and repeat the above steps. I am sure there is a way to do it in the brush settings options, but I havent found it yet.
