D8 Oh well, they'll be allies again soon so it's all good.
The title comes from Lady Gaga's song, Bad Romance. I was trying to decide between that and a more serious title, 'Imperial Consequence'. But the amusing [yaoi-ish] one won out at the last second thanks to talking to Dark and listening to the song while posting. xD
That is the Grand Union Flag in the background, representing the 13 colonies with the Union Flag of Scotland and England in the corner. The first Grand Union flag flew in 1775 on the Alfred (which I'm assuming is the source for America's first name). It is very similar to a design flown by the British East India Company from 1707.
