Ah, a small suggestion: You might want to try adding shadows or shading to your pieces to make them look more realistic. Even something simple like a transparant oval-shaped shadow on the ground like you'd see on the show helps PIRL pictures look a lot better than you'd think.

Hmm... Well, if you're willing to learn something new, Paint.NET and GIMP are viable alternatives. They're geared more toward photo editing versus touching-up pictures like Photopad.
