Background

Zena was born into the Farasi Tribe to loving parents Aina and Jasiri. Aina, her mother, stayed with her for most of her childhood, while Zena's older brother Kibayo spent most of his time training with their father, Jasiri.

In her tribe, all members are born equal despite their parent's rankings, each given a chance to prove themselves. Zena's father was a council member and the Primary Hunter for many years before retiring to old age. The zebras within this tribe are omnivorous, able to survive on either plant-based diets or meat-based.

The tribe's biggest threat is panthers, which constantly roam their lands and pick the zebras off one by one. Kibayo was killed by one of these panthers while defending the young.

Farasi Tribe life is extremely difficult. Outcasted from Equestria, the tribe struggles to survive in their dry, nearly uninhabitable lands. Death from starvation and dehydration is common.

- Zena's a pretty buff girl; constant work and training ensures that
- Has a sharp tongue and is never afraid to insult any living soul
- Pretty reasonable when she's not being bothered by someone; she has a moral compass
- Enjoys a good joke but if it's stupid or cheesy she will tell you it's bad
- One of the few members of the tribe who can climb into trees
- Will beat anyone up, no matter the size (but she's got a soft spot for the kiddies)
- Hates but loves her best friend Panther

I've been wanting to draw Zee for a while now so here she is! (: Let me just say I love the Alpha Lock feature. Very helpful xD

I tried some realistic-ish shading and I kinda like it but I don't know if I'll continue this style, alternate, or switch x3

Her head is maybe a lil too small for her body but it's too complicated to fix without messing stuff up ;-;
