Vanners and Friesians are two of my favourite breeds. Adult Vanners have a lot, and I do mean a LOT of hair - profuse mane and tail and heavy feather around the legs. Judging by the lack of it on this one, I would say he's immature, over a year old given that he has the mane and tail of an adult horse of other breeds, but not enough to be a fully mature Vanner, ergo I guestimate him to be 18-24 months. You could probably confirm that with his owners.

Sure he might be a pure gypsy? For me he looks more like a mix between gypsy and paint.
Because of his building, the lack of feathers and the small legs.
I might be wrong, but the vanners i have seen (by friends who breeding them, on photos and such) the young ones normaly are heavier. Just...more gypsy then him. Or he's one of the lighter ones, not the big, heavy ones i normally see

I have seen some lighter framed ones, but your theory does make a point. Giving him a closer look-over, he also looks a bit shorter/smaller over all than I would expect, subtly and more noticeable in the front legs. But he is also seems younger as well (look at his face), which is why I was thinking immature Vanner, which would explain the lack of hair. But being a young mixed breed is very possible as well.

To be honest, the face didn´t look like a pure gypsy. Not even a young one. Just more like a mix. Like i said xD

From her reply to me - "He was exhibited at a Parade of Breeds event for the Gypsy Vanner breed, so he may just be young. I don't know his owners so I couldn't confirm." So either he's young and not precisely to "breed standard" or he's a mix, but we'll never be able to find out. Odds are he's just young since he was on display specifically for the breed and they don't tend to allow mixed breeds in those, normally.

He was exhibited at a Parade of Breeds event for the Gypsy Vanner breed, so he may just be young. I don't know his owners so I couldn't confirm. But he was a pretty boy in person, this isn't the best photo as it's from a lower grade camera and grainy. I was too busy chatting to get proper photos hehe.
