Description Recently did a roll of double exposures on the Nikon film SLR. I developed the roll this tuesday, scanned some of the negs today.
I think this is possibly my favourite shot from the roll.

~R0SHAMB0 walking about an abandoned artist's studio we broke into the other week.

Ilford FP4 @ 125 ISO, developed in the dark-room, scanned negative.

Makes me want to do some double, and multiple exposure shots again, in camera. I've done a lot of prints from multiple negatives stacked.
About the title; there is a book titled "House of leaves", it is a work of art, literally. He designed the font and page layout way differently than I have ever seen in any other book. He would put some font backwards, upside down, and in 'holes' that would continue through pages while the rest of the story was around it on the same page, not to be wierd or different, to emphasize what was going on in that chapter, etc.
If you are into reading its worth a look, I've read it multiple times and I'm not much of a book reader.
Very artistic: your shot, and the book.

Thank you!
It sounds like an amazing novel, I looked it up and I definitely want to read it. Thanks for the recommendation, I'll look out for it!
And thanks for your lovely words, I'm glad you like my photo

p.s - nice avatar by the way

Thanks. You might have to look in the out-of-print books section of where ever you look. The book was printed back in 2000-2001. I know that Barnes and Nobel has it online.

I love this photo,
It really makes me want to do some multi-exposure shots again, its been a while. I used to do it alot when I shot film in school, but now digital has taken over, and I don't have photoshop to play with so I kind of dropped that 'art'. It takes some pre-visualization to get good results. You have to plan ahead and place your subjects correctly and expose accordingly.
~love tool.
and Alex Grey's work is mind-blowing, look him up, he designed the album artwork for lateralus and 10,000 days.

Yeah I think I might be able to order it from one of the stores in town.

Thank you so much!
You should do some multiple exposures again
I love doing that on film - I mean, it's fun on digital, but I prefer having less control over the image. Something about using film feels... better, especially with multiple exposures.

Yeah I know about Alex Grey! I absolutely love his work.
In fact I'm seeing Tool at a festival in February! It will be my 2nd time seeing them. So excited!

I wish I were going to see them. I've never been to one of their concerts.
I still have half of a roll of film left in my camera, so maybe I'll be trying some multi exposure shots, should be fun. I'll try to make myself go out tomorrow.

Sinku

Imma print this one on tuesday!
It might get cropped though, it's a bit wider than a normal shot...

That so ulitmate!
We are currently doing double exposure prints but but placing 2 negs ontop of each other to make prints, but this is way cooler!!

Haha, ultimate is such a good word
You know I was thinking of doing those kinda double exposures just the other day, to make them more controlled as to what I get in the end result. I might do that sometime actually. But yeah, I think I'd prefer this anyway due to the... unexpectedness. I've done a few rolls in colour like that too, got some interesting results like: [link]
You should try it sometime! Apparently there's even a way to make all the shots fall into place, I need to ask about that...

Thanks for the fav btw
