I tried a different coloring technique on this one rather than the usual tactics, aside from the rather plain looking hair, i was rather pleased with the finished product. I just wish i know more about lighting techniques, the negative circle around her hand was supposed to be where the light hitting her was emanating from.Related content

lol, a friend of mine pointed that out to me a LOOONNNGGG time ago, and the funny thing is, even though i drew and colored this pic... i hadnt noticed myself, loL! So it was accidental, not like a costume modification i was doing or anything special

Nice shading on the clothes and hair, but most of your female characters seem very well......equipped, shall we say? not that that's a problem, of course!

Just a little note: Her hand holding the cloak is a little weird. Maybe it's just the way I'm looking at it, but the thumb looks wrong. Overall, though, I like a lot

its at a VERY wierd angle, the thumb turns facing forward. this is hard for me to draw( obviously) still. i think it came out out ok...but weird is ok too! thanks for the comment!

do yourself a favor and check out Leblas's version of it, she took this original and put her effect on it, i thought it looked great!

I like the negative circle, but the light source is somewhere beyond that on the left, you can see it affect the background too. Also, I'm not really sure the negative effect implies that it's giving off light, rather that it's taking light away, which is still really cool ^_^
Ineteresting colouring style too, did you use markers?

no i used photoshop all around. Believe me, i tried to get that damn negative circle to be a light source, the main source in fact, like shining with energy, but sadly that was far beyond my photoshop skills! 
maybe by the next time i'll have an idea how to do this!

The negative circle effect is interesting like the lighting in this as well .

i wanted it to look a little like the shows "negative" glare when raven uses her magic, this was the best idea i had so i went with it!
