"Are we there yet?"

Sableye swung the gleaming lantern as a follow-through to his dramatic flop onto his friends' forehead.

"I told you not yet, now stop swinging the lamp."

Gardevoir continued her translation, the distraction insufficient to lift her eyes from her notes.

"Hey if you're levitating the book, why am I holding this thing?"

"Think of it as a fee for using my head as your personal ferry. Besides, you said you wanted to help me."

"..."

"Sableye?"

After just enough of a pause to draw her attention, Sableye turned with a sudden haste, grip still firm on the burning lantern.

"...Y-yeah, yeah. Can you at least translate a little faster? I don't wanna die of boredom before we find the treasure."

Gardevoir looked up with a soft laugh. "I'll see what I can do. Now if you would please stop swinging the lamp..."

Pardon the bit of story. Just a bit of adventuring/exploring. Rather like how this turned out. Also Sableye's a bit small, but I'll compromise scale a bit for a fun composition.

I find they make a pretty awesome team in-game too. Hope you enjoy, as always. : )
