Description
This was the cover art for a Swedish magazine, "Signaler från Sverok" (more info here ), featuring the probably most gay robot ever in existence. I wonder if he's just trying to pick which robot he's going to take to the Pride festival along with Skeletor, of He-Man fame. The one with the largest guns, or the one with the hands? Hmm... is this a season for green, or for red? I wonder, wonder...This was finished in early January, after much toil and trouble, in Photoshop CS3.
I don't know what to say, I never figured I'd be out of ideas when writing this. Seriously. I guess I might update with a better description sooner or later, but for now, I'll let this picture speak for itself.

Amazing artwork. You have really good creativity that you put into this work, the detailing, coloring and shading is quite well done and I like the foggy/smoke effect below surrounding them that you added in.

Det känns dumt att behöva sitta och upprepa allt jag redan sagt om den här bilden, om du inte vill att jag ska skriva det på engelska så att folk som tittar förbi förstår hur mycket jag avgudar den och hur duktig du är? ^^
Fortfarande är det roboten längst till höger som direkt fångar blicken, och skrivbordsstolsroboten i förgrunden är fortfarande helt bedårande genial i sin konstruktion. I like the metallic bloke having a moment of decision-making or a sudden minute of philosophy undertiden hans minions står och väntar andäktigt på vad han ska säga härnäst.

I really like this one - and it looked awesome as a cover! I can't really decide which is my favourite part: the robot overload himself maybe? His head's shaded so prettily (I keep returning to the outer corners of his eyes - AND I like his teeth), his neck and abs are gorgeous (if a real guy had abs like that I'd be scared shitless, but it looks real nice on robots and ancient romans, especually when this nicely shaded) and his HAND ... I love his hand. His belt buckle, also - win.
But I like the rest of the robots too. I like the variety and the differences - the shapes and colours, all them gorgeous wires, the gun-hands (I like the beige ones the best, and its shoulder is win too) the "fleshy" parts of the one to the left, the colouring and shading and lightning and... etc! All of it! And I like the background too: it's relatively simple, yet very efficient.
...I guess it's really rather easy to sum this up: I love it all. You did an incredible job.

This comes to mind when speaking of gay robots.
I thought of doing something serious for the belt buckle, but alas, it was one of the last things I did and "couldn't be arsed" had quite a lot to do with it by then. I'm glad you like the skull

I am unable to divine the workings or layouts in newspapers/magazines, they seem to be changed constantly (up to eight times including all the edition changes for most major newspapers and probably more for magazines given the three month working life of most publications

lol. I did something similar this weekend. I was working nights but instead of going to bed at like 6am and getting up at 2pm I slept right through until 7pm. Naturally I woke up in a blind panic and took the best part of an hour to work out what day/time/year it was
