First thing I find that DeviantArt says is related to my art is a bunch of beautiful amalgamated and some... Distasteful mortals.
The dark nature is a delicate lotus to me. It floats in range for me to see, letting me appreciate it. The cold of the water, the only thing keeping me away. If you were to brave it, however, you’d reach it. You would have a hold on the precious things you know. It would be a treasure. It would be a part of your spirit, returned by light to your body.
The warmth shown by some parts, a curtain covering the play, never doing as you wish. Mocking you, laughing at your every movement, aware of itself being unreachable, yet so close. The warmth of it’s fabric, drifting from it’s core, barely reaching you, having you desire it to open. But, as your desires rise, so does it’s laughter. The temptation, becoming too much to bear. Eventually, it all goes black. You’ve given up. You’ve lost your will. You’re... You’re... Empty. All you’ve ever wished for was to see the secrets it hides. All you’ve wanted is to learn from it. As you sit in the emptiness that is your heart, you reminisce. You remember the good it has brought. The curiosity, the motivation... You remember the pain it came with as well. The jealousy, the guilt... The... Anger.
You lashed out, but why? Did it help? Was it right? Even if it was right, you’re alone now. You’re unable to ever change it, and you’ll never have what you hade with it. You’re forever empty. In a strange way, this ending is fitting. Empty, just like the room you’re in...
