Thank you! There is also an interesting story behind the memorial and the man it was made for, John Hubbard. It is in Montpelier Vermont.

Did you read anything about the supposed curse?

I fear not, unless you mean the strange circumstances of Hubbards death. But please, enlighten me!

There is a myth that if one sits upon the lap of the sculpture that person will receive three strokes of bad luck. When you visit the monument you can clearly see that Hubbard's lap has been "polished" by this process. It really is a wonderful work of art, too bad it's hidden in a cemetery in northern Vermont.

You mean, that despite the curse, everybody sits on his lap for to test the fate? You are right, it's great sculpture. I could also read a bit about the sculptor, who created it in the beginning of his career. I hope to travel one day to Vermont.

Yes, they do tempt fate (if you believe in such things). You would find many similarities between Switzerland and Vermont, especially Northern Vermont. Although I must say that Switzerland has much better rock climbing, and bigger mountains. I do love your country.

Thank you! I have been twice in the States, once in Boston and explore the coast, which I liked very much. It's what defenitely is missing in Switzerland...
